HELLO MY NAME IS LAWRENCE L. KIRBY II
I was licensed to preach the gospel on June 5, 2004 and was ordained in March of 2009. Since being ordained I have been in service and continue to be until the day I leave this earth! I had a vision in 2016 of building a spiritual family that extends across the state of Wisconsin as I long to see people be saved, lives changed, and God glorified! Through prayer for clarity the Acts Church was founded August 7th, 2016.
My journey in ministry has afforded me the opportunity to participate in an array of ministry opportunities. I served as a program assistant and then director for the Godfather’s Club Director of Hope House (a residential facility for troubled boys ages 12 to 17), member of the Spirit of Praise Singers, assistant coordinator for youth & amp; young adult dept. for the W.G.B.S.C. state congress, VITA Program coordinator for the city of Racine, and a facilitator in the Man Talk Program for the department of health in Racine County along with being a facilitator and creator of the Boys Club at The 21st Century Prep School.
In addition I have a very extended journey at the St. Paul Church of Racine. At St. Paul I have held positions such as assistant director of the youth department, youth advisor, and co-chair of the St. Paul young adult department, Audio/Visual Committee chair and an Associate Pastor as well as a assistant minister , chief adjutant to Bishop Kirby
I am currently serving as a committee member for the Racine Christian Youth Coalition, as a youth
instructor for the W.G.B. State Convention, hunger justice leader with the Bread For the World organization, a team lead for C.P.S. Ministries in the National Baptist Convention U.S.A. Inc. I am member of the board of directors for the United Way of Kenosha and have played a vital role in the recent launch of a suspension alternative program known as The CAAAD Program which is in partnership with the Kenosha Unified School District. I also serve proudly as a police and fire commissioner for the city of Kenosha.
On personal level I am happily married to my best friend Chandrika and the proud father of Reginald T Kirby, Kennedy M. Kirby and Marley A. Kirby. If you ask me to describe myself, I will tell you that above all I am a servant of the Most High God, a dedicated family man, and a young man with a passion for
ministry and people.
So glad you took a moment to learn more about me and my calling to serve as the Senior Pastor of the Acts Church!
Make sure you stay connected with me
